I developed a lightweight WordPress theme built from scratch, with a Custom Post Type dedicated to the dogs. Each dog now has its own profile with a portrait, photo gallery, description, and status (available, adopted, or passed away). I also added a contact form and the option to download the adoption form directly from the site. The design keeps the original logo and color palette while giving everything a modern, easy-to-read layout that’s simple to update.

The new site is easy to manage and regularly updated. Visitors can discover all the dogs available for adoption, see those who have already found a home, and pay tribute to those who’ve passed away. The shelter now has a modern, living website that matches its mission and no longer depends on external providers.
