Case Study - Da oreste
The original site was built with static HTML duplicated for each language, making every change long and risky.
The owner wanted to stay independent for updates and encourage direct bookings, but without adding a full booking system.
The design also no longer matched the current image of the guesthouse.
The goal was to completely modernize the site while keeping its original visual identity, so the owner could manage her content easily without relying on anyone else.
Role
Web developer, UX/UI designer, plugin developer, digital consultant.
The Solution
I rebuilt the entire site on WordPress using a custom theme and plugin tailored to the needs of a B&B. Each room now has its own dynamic page with description, gallery, services, and availability calendar. I added a FAQ section and a “What to visit” page to improve the user experience and strengthen SEO. The site keeps the colors and feel of the original but with a cleaner, modern, and fully responsive layout. I also guided the client through modern web logic, why repetition matters for SEO, how structured content helps, and how navigation impacts visibility.
The Results
The new site is fully dynamic and self-managed: the owner can update texts, images, and calendars without touching any code. The design keeps the original atmosphere but feels clearer and more credible. Visitors can now find information easily and contact the guesthouse directly without going through Booking. The site is ready to evolve over time, without needing “HTML archaeology” for every change.
