Case Study - Jenny Comics

Jenny Comics is a deeply personal project, born from my desire to create a space entirely dedicated to my comics, my visual universe, and my way of telling stories. I did not want to simply publish a few pages online, but to build a true author website: a place able to present my series, episodes, characters, and the very specific graphic identity of my work.

The project needed to reflect both my artistic sensibility and the way I approach web design and development. As both a developer and a creator, I wanted a solid and flexible foundation that would allow me to experiment, publish freely, and let the site grow over time. The challenge was to bring together storytelling, illustration, content structure, and user experience within one coherent digital space.

Role

Author, WordPress developer, web designer, art direction, content architecture, UX/UI, responsive integration, technical SEO, structured data, content management, and ongoing site development.

The Solution

I designed and developed Jenny Comics on top of my Lubinik WordPress framework, building an architecture able to clearly separate the stable technical base, the project’s structured content, and the fully custom visual layer. I created a dedicated content organization to manage series, episodes, and characters, along with their relationships, custom fields, and specific templates.

I then developed a child theme fully tailored to the site’s universe, with an illustrated homepage, custom editorial sections, reworked navigation, dedicated reading pages, strong responsive behavior, and many refinements to make the experience enjoyable on both mobile and desktop. The project also included SEO configuration, structured data, translations, and the tools needed to support the site’s long-term evolution.

The Results

Jenny Comics is now a living, personal, and scalable space designed to host my comics in a way that works both visually and technically. The site allows me to publish new episodes, present my characters, organize my series, and keep expanding my universe without relying on a rigid or limited solution.

Beyond the visual result, this project also reflects the way I work: building solid, sensitive, custom tools that serve a real creative world. Jenny Comics is at once an author website, an artistic playground, and a concrete example of what I can create when development, design, and storytelling move together.
