Musi Sereni 2.0: A Complete Website Rebuild Powered by Lubinik

When I first created the Musi Sereni website a few years ago, the goal was simple: give the shelter a modern online presence and make it easier to showcase dogs looking for a family.

Since then, both the shelter and my own development workflow have evolved considerably.

Rather than continuing to patch and extend the original website, I decided it was time for a complete rebuild.

Why rebuild instead of updating?

Like many long-running projects, the original website had reached a point where adding new features was becoming increasingly difficult.

During the past few years, I developed Lubinik, my own WordPress framework designed to build custom websites faster while remaining easy to maintain and expand.

Rebuilding Musi Sereni on this new foundation allowed me to improve both the technical architecture and the user experience without losing the spirit of the original project.

What’s New?

The new version introduces a completely redesigned experience with numerous improvements:

  • A cleaner and more modern interface
  • Improved performance across the entire website
  • Better responsive layouts for mobile devices
  • A redesigned administration panel
  • A custom dog adoption management system
  • Easier content management for volunteers
  • Improved scalability for future features

Every part of the project was reviewed and refined to make the website faster, easier to use, and simpler to maintain.

Built on Lubinik

This project also marks an important milestone for me personally.

Musi Sereni is now powered by Lubinik, the framework I’ve been developing to create highly customized WordPress websites without sacrificing performance or flexibility.

Instead of starting every project from scratch, Lubinik provides a solid architecture that allows me to focus on each client’s unique needs while keeping future maintenance much simpler.

Looking Ahead

This rebuild isn’t the end of the project.

Like the shelter itself, the website will continue to evolve over time with new features, improvements, and ongoing support.

Building websites for animal shelters has always been about more than technology.

It’s about creating tools that help volunteers spend less time managing a website and more time helping animals find a home. ❤️🐶
